Random update

Now we are starting to be settled in the new place, which is nice. Juan has been asking about photos, he still have to wait though, because I checked some photos I took yesterday and they are horrible quality. That's becuase I didn't use flash. Anyway, the photos were mostly only of our kitchen table with our wine and cheese dinner since our bedroom still contains an undone drawer and the living room an undone bookshelf from IKEA. And no I'm not proud about shopping there :-P

On sunday it was Fathers Day in Finland so Happy FathersDay to all the daddies out there! :-) Right now I happen to listen to Maggie Reilly which my dad used to listen to in his old Volvo when I was young. Funny how you remember things like that.



Anyway, if you wanna see pics of a nice apartment you can check out Charitas single in the city one here. We were there on a nice housewarming party on saturday, little but cosy.

moving

we have a big chaos at home at the moment. Tomorrow we'll be moving. It's gonna be interesting and...exhausting. I have no idea where all the stuff comes from! In one year we have managed to gather a lot. But well, we were not planning to move so I guess then you sort of gather a lot of unnecessary things around you.

Wish us luck! 2 p.m. tomorrow we'll have to be out, iiiik. Hopefully we'll like the new place as much as this one! But what can be better than having our own sauna and balcony???:-) maybe we can already on Sunday go to the sauna in the new place:-P

After a couple of hours we'll get the keyes. Exciting!

On saturday these to lovely ladies invited us for a super yammi pie-dinner, with mushroom-and spinachpie and for desert blueberry- and lingonberry pie.

Yesterday I was at my friend´s Baby Shower, we sort of organised it as a surprise for her, she thought two friends were gonna visit but instead we were a lots more and we brought lots of presents. We don´t know yet if it´s gonna be a girl or a boy so we had to try and find stuff that suits both, however I think it would be fine for a babyboy to wear pink today:-) I was really tempted to buy pink slippers but in the end I bought white ones.

Sofrito

We did some Sofrito on wednesday with Stefan :-) It´s hot stuff you can spice up your food with...yamiii I hope! we haven´t tasted it yet but we did smell it a lot while cooking:-P

Here´s the recipe; ( we did only half and it filled up our olive oil bottle)

1 cup olive oil
5 red bell peppers
5 white onions
1/2 cup of garlic gloves
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon oregano
salt and pepper

It´s easy, you cook the stuff in the oil until it is soft enough and then put it in the blender to make it a nice purée.



You can then save it in the fridge or freezer until you are in the mood for a spicy dish. To get in the right atmosphere you can listen to Buena Vista Social Club. This is my favorite:

Winter Garden and Botanical Garden

It´s nice taking walks with Stefan, we always end up somewhere different than were we intended to go in the first place:-)


A couple of weeks ago we decided to go for a walk in the nice autumn weather and we ended up in the Botanical Gardens, last spring we also went to the Winter Garden in Helsinki so now we should be experts on plants I guess....



I have a clue that these ones are poisonous;-)















It´s nice that there is places to go for warmth and plants when the winter comes.




This is cotton, I wonder how many plants it takes to make one shirt?


Inside the house it was hot and humid




Stefan found the cacao plant. Wonder if it tastes chocolate?

I wish our bamboo and plants at home was as big as these:-P
