Christmas Time
It's been snowing like crazy here today, snowstormish, now we have a winterwonderland:-) The snow is fun and now its a bit warmer than what it was before, which is nice. I just realized we should have gone out sledging with Faro but now it's a bit late, maybe tomorrow. He has enjoyed the snow a lot anyway.
Three more days at work and then finally some Christmas holidays! I can't wait! December is always such a mess until Christmas Eve when you can finally relax and enjoy the holidays. It's Christmas parties, birthday parties and this year there has also been gradutaion parties. Cia posted somepics from the parties this weekend.
On Thursday it was also the company Christmas party, much more fun than last year :-) We had acctually a really cool evening. And I got a pic with Axl Smith: (not that I knew who he was before but he has apperently been a presenter on MTV)
And me and my collegue won one round of the music quiz (it was thanks to her we won though :-P ).
And soon, soon, we will fly to Spain and celebrate New Years and Dani and Luna's wedding. Lot's of nice things coming up if I can just last three days at work now and three days after Christmas

November
Cia and her husband are enjoying their honeymoon in sunny Thailand, while we are here in Finland during the darkest time of the year. Ou well, Faro brings me a lot of happiness right now so it's quite ok and he is good also becuase he makes us have to take our asses outside a few times per day. He already now all these commands; Come, stay, sit, lay down and gimme five :-D I'm so proud and impressed. He learns so quickly!
Today I went to see the PlayMe Musical at the Swedish Theater in Helsinki with my mum. It was good and the people on stage very talented. I wish I could see Hype again though, the musical they showed when I was a teenager :-P Probably I'd see it with new eyes now but I have good memories of it at least :-)
I will continue to deal with the darkness with some candles and melancholic music to get even more into the autumn mood, I just discovered Melissa Horn and Laleh. Laleh is so cute, I saw her on Swedish television playing live and she had a cute/funny way to move. This is why I love Duffy too, she was so cute in the interview below :-) I love the part were her mum calls:-D Let's hope she has stayed so sweet even though she's gotten so famous.

Short Films
Doing finance is not always the most exciting job but today we actually did something fun. We watched short films. Check them out, here is only a few, you can find more on YouTube;
I thought it was kind of a nice project and the Lonely Planet girl was actually there presenting the movies so that was nice. Let's hope these projects will develop further.
Today we went with Faro to see his sisters that are still in the Kennel. He is now soooo tired, but oh so cute!

My New Secretary
Have you met my new secretary? :-)
When we got tired working we just took a little nap
I'm sorry this has become a puppy blogg instead of anything else :-P But Faro is so lovely and we had so much fun with him already. I'm enjoying while he's still a puppy, he's gonna grow so quickly.
Check out also this: Cia's cute post about Faro and Nalle meeting :-)

First day with Sir Jump-a-Lot
Our first day home with Faro has been well. He's a lovely boy. I'm a little bit tired now though as he kept us awake for a bit, crying, until he fell asleep last night. But once he fell asleep he was sleeping the whole night through. He didn't even notice the mail man, which I did, worrying about him. In the end we went out at 6 in the morning for the morning pee. I guess we're gonna get used to early wake ups :-P
He's a little teddybear right now and it is difficult to resist him anything when he gives you the puppylook.

Dogysitting Kaz again
I've been a bit lazy with my blogging lately but nothing too exciting has happened. Cia changed her blogg to get more inspiration for writing but I'll stick to my old blogg and posting every now and then for now.
Last weekend we were at Ninnu's goodbye party for her leave to Thailand. I can't believe we didn't take one single picture! Anyway we'll be missing you Ninnu and I hope someone else has pics.
Last weekend we had also the first snow for this year but it melted pretty quickly. Let's hope for a white Christmas though.
Since yesterday we are dogsitting Kaz again. I wrote about her in my blog in February.
She's been a good girl so far :-) it's easier now when we know her a bit better. I can't wait to have our own little puppy at home though! We've been visiting him and his sisters every week and they are so cute now when they start playing and moving around.

The Cutest Puppy!
We have been thinking about names for the little one but haven't come up with a good one yet. I have lots of nice girls names in mind but it seems it is much more difficult to think of a nice boy name- or then me and Stefan don't agree on the coolness factor of the name ;-) What would you call this beauty?

After Holiday
It's been some time again - since we came back from Spain time has flied away.
We had dinner with my favorite dinner girls! It's been some time since we had all four by the table. One just made it home from Austria and when the other one goes to Gothenburgh and the third one is packing for Thailand soon. I missed, miss and will miss u!
We also managed to finish the room in our house this summer. I'm so proud of us! Even though most credit goes to my dad because neither me nor Stefan has much talent when it comes to building, we're good at painting though :-)
On this pic the floor is not done yet but I promise we made it :-P
September started with some bridesmaid's stress and in the middle of all my four wisdom tooth were taken away. This is me still drugged and happy after the operation;
Later on I was less drugged and less happy and lived on yoghurt, baby food and smoothies for a week.
Finally on 12th the happy couple married and me and stefan were done with the final of three weddings this summer.
Wedding one in romantic Paris;
Wedding two on the country side;
Wedding Three in Sipoo;
I can't believe I do not have a proper picture of us bridesmaids in wedding three. But here goes one with bridesmaids x 3, wedding couple and bestman;
The weddings were lovely and I think I did my crying share in all of them. Let's see if next summer will be just as busy wedding wise :-)... we have gotten some warnings on weddings for 2011 but there's still time until that.
At work we're doing quarter cut-off with less people than usual so it's been a bit crazy. However, as I am older and wiser since saturday I'm managing. Now I can count myself as half-way to 50 :-S scary!
Stefan already had broke the news about the best present and the family growing ;-) You can check out the pics in his blogg here. They're so cute and I can't wait to see them!

Sonisphere concert
Last weekend we went to Pori with a couple of friends to be at the Sonisphere festival. I bought tickets for Stefan for his birthday because he had been saying for a long time he would like to go and see a nice show and preferably rock. Who would have thought I would go there?!?! :-D I think I was one of the only ones wearing a pink jacket that day ;-)
Anyway, I quite enjoyed it in the end, (with earplugs though )we were sitting on the gras in the back in the beginning when Lamb of God and Machine Head played.
There was even some drama when Machine Head's guitarist passed out on stage. I found this video of it on YouYube;
huh, the music sounds much worse on the video, haha :-D
Linkin Park was soundwise good but they had quite a poor contact with the audience so the show seemed kind of cold. At this stage we had to stand up though because it started to get crowded even in the back :-)
And in the end everybody was ecstatic; Metallica were showing who rocked most :-P I didn't know the new songs at all but when they played Nothing else matters and Enter Sandman the feeling was really on top. They also seemed to love Finland so that was a plus :-D
But what rock/heavy band would not love this country;-)
Here's more videos from YouTube, you can even hear the Finns sing, haha, not too beautiful :-D
Can't resist putting this one also even it is crappy quality as well, I wonder if they tell everytime after a concert that it was the best? :-D
Well we for sure rocked this weekend! I'm proud of myself:-)
Now I have to work on my Spanish for our holiday in Spain...and perhaps I have to pack as well...:-P

Back in Finland
The holiday went fine and Stefan's brother's weeding was beatuiful. I was just gonna load up some pictures to an album on pixbox but it didn't work :-( I try again later. We enjoyed Paris a lot and did lot of nice shopping in Normandie and saw also the beatiful coast line.
Stefan and the Atlantic;
Since the holidays we have had company summerparties and friends graduating and it's been Midsummer and we have been babysitting little cute Vasco. I went also on a girl day-cruise to Tallinn yesterday. Summer is lovely but I wish I had more time to hang around and do nothing. I had a look in the calender and we have exactly 2 free weekends until half of september. :-I But hopefully we have time to relax as well.
During Midsummer we were in my parents summercottage with some friends, that was nice and relaxing. Unfortunetly it was pretty cold this year but I am proud to say I went swimming :-)...after some Sauna!
Me and Vasco during midsummer;
I'm gonna post also this song since it always make me think of lazy late summernights on the counrtyside;

Getting in the Holiday Mood
This morning started horrible, I went out and noticed it was raining and I had only a t-shirt and a summerjacket so I had to go back home and get some more clothes because it was cold (or almost home cause Stefan was nice enough to bring them down) . During that time I missed 2 buses. When I finally caught the bus I hit my head when I was supposed to sit down. And then when getting off the bus I twisted my ancle.
Luckily it is holiday sooon! Today I worked for longer to finish most things before my holiday week. I'm getting in the holiday mood now and starting to relax little by little:-)
When finally home from work I made my dad's special sandwhich to empty the fridge as we are gonna be away for a week;
Some Finnish rye bread;
with mustard, ham, cucumber, tomatoes, some cheese on top and a bit of oregano. This you put in the microwave so the cheese meltes and it's yammi :-)
While eating it I watched with one eye, believe it or not Serrano Family or Serrano Perhe as it's called in Finland.
It just happened to be on when I turned on the TV and it was perfectly braindead for a day like today. It feels comletely like a Friday now even if we are only Wednesday.
After that I took another step in the relaxing process and read my newspaper in calmness but in the end I got a bit restless and decided that some jogging would be nice even if it's raining. So I put on some Veronica Maggio and went running.
It was perfect jogging weather and perfect jogging music. In the beginning of the week it was about 30 degrees and it was too hot to do anything, I couldn't even sleep.
The perfect ending of the day was however to come home and go to sauna.
In two days we are flying to Paris, what could be better than that :-)

House work and stuff
Well Eurovision was a total disaster for Finland as always. It is also long time since I´ve seen a Eurovision so boring. There was no excitement in waiting for who´s gonna win. I would have preferred Iceland to win instead of Norway, I didn´t really like the song at all. At least we saw Eurovision in good company after some nice BBQ.
The day before Eurovision we had a yammi Mexican team dinner at our friend´s place. Tequila is evil but Corona is ok even though I usually don´t like beer.
To continue on the Mexican team we ate dinner at Cantina West the next week in order to celebrate our friend´s birthday. I love the interior in this restaurant and the food is yummy too. The restaurant must be huge since everytime we go they take us to a new place, terass, second floor, celler and so on, I never realized it was so big.
I think the birthday girl´s nephews stole the show during the dinner though;
Finally we also started renovating our house in Liljendal. We bought a BBQ and invited some friends over :-) The result so far is a piece of new floor in the second floor...jeee! :-D
Thanx Martin for your expertise help! we couldn´t have done it without you :-) And Cia and Nalle too for lifting stuff and giving ideas.
Little Vasco also enjoyed the house:-)
Here´s a picture from starting the floor work, unfortunetly I didn´t have a pic of the laminate acctually installed;
Maybe next weekend I´ll have time to start painting the wall some other colour than the yellow you can see on the pic.
You have to also take a peek at Cia´s blogg, she put up some nice videos of the boys working on emptying the room;
