Stockholm

We bought quite without planning too much tickets to Sweden for next weekend. Surprisingly the airplane tickets were cheaper than the boat when we wanted to stay for four days.

I can't wait to be there! To see friends ( which will hopefully be there too!) shopping and doing some tourism. Stockholm is such a nice city.

I got recommended this musical, Romeo och Julia. by my friend, so we bought tickets there too. First I was not too excited because it feels like Romeo and Julia is such an old story, but then I saw the add and the music list and got excited about the idea-and as I said- my friend recommended it a lot!

Any other hot tips for Stockholm next weekend?

Angry driver sticker

Stefan had read somewhere the other day that people are angry at other drivers when driving because they consider their car their own territory. A trick for knowing if the driver is an angry one is to check if they have put any stickers on the car->because a sticker shows the person have marked their territory, so the more stickers the more angry the driver.

It's funny that the day after he told me this I saw a car in traffic driving completely insane-and what sticker was not in the back of the car if not an advertisement for a politician in the Finnish Parliamentary elections in April!:D

If the driver thought he/she was doing a good marketing campaign for the candidate by crossing three lanes in one go and speeding past everybody else, he/she thought wrong.

Imagine if it was the candidate herself (yes it was a woman) driving the car. Perhaps she should make a career as a rally driver instead.

Sunday

It's been a nice sunny day, not too cold and my parents have been over for dinner. It would be a perfect afternoon for a long walk with the dog if I just wasn't so tired. Can it be that we are already too old to party hard? :o

Finland and liberality (or not)

Read yesterday an article in HBL about how being an homosexual is usually not a valid reason to apply for asylum in Finland. Well I don't want to speculate now in what is right or wrong when giving people asylum in this country but what caught my attention was that homosexuality was considered a crime in Finland until 1971 and a sickness until 1981! That is only three years before I was born :-O

I thought I was living in a liberal country with Finland being the third country in the world and first country in Europe to give women voting right in 1906.

Well everyday you learn something...

Personally I have never really understood how people care to put so much enery into what is right and wrong when it comes to colour of skin, race or sexuality. What does it matter if it a nice person?

Agility

Every Saturday morning at 9am (!) I usually head to agility training with this cute dog if it is not too cold.

Sometimes it's difficult to get up that early in the morning on a Saturday but once you are there and you see how happy he is it is worth it and now I have started enjoying it too-in the beginning I was super nervous and not sure what to do. I am always the same when trying a new thing even if I know there is nothing to be nervous of- but I guess I have to get comfortable with the surroundings and the people first.

Unfortunately we just heard that Helsinki city has closed down the agility hall for some time because the building doesn't building is not secure in it's structure. I guess this have something to do with the amount of snow on the roof but I am not sure. Well hopefully we can enjoy agility training soon again.

When I started blogging in X3m it was the thing that everybody did. Then I went to Italy for exhange and suddenly Cia read my blog while she was in Sweden on exchange and I read hers and that's how we are friends :-) It was a good tool to stay in touch with people at home-and now it is a tool to stay in thouch with people that are away-and you find friends as well through the blogs

5. Mitä haluaisit muuttaa blogissasi?/What would yo like to change in your blog?

I'm trying this thing out now and we'll see-I think it might turn into something else little by little.
