Gracefulness

I've said it before, I say it again-Kiira is sooo graceful! Yesterday she did superwell in the European championships-heard that today was not as good but she's a winner for me :-)





We just took Susanna for a little skating on the Finnish ice-she wasn't bad either! ;-) I'm pretty impressed acctually :-)

JohnnyBoy

hmmm, this one is a bit silly as there is so many bands and musician's I like but I guess I pick John Mayer as he's been on the list for quite some years and hasn't dropped off yet. His music tends to work better when you are heartbroken though which I haven't been for long time luckily :-) However I will post a music video instead of a pic. Seeing him live is still to be ticked off from my to-do list-he's so seldom in Europe doing concerts though :(

Teneriffe

A year ago we took Faro to the Vet for a vaccine-he was so little then! Poor little thingy has been already too many times at the veterinary's. We seem to always get the same verdict from the vet's though: "he's a funny dog" :-D

Tapas evening

Isn't sleeping on your back the comfiest?

Faro has already taken the sleeping position on my legs, usually he waits until we turn off the lights.










Closer to the morning he usually comes and put his head on my pillow. I've heard he pokes me in my face in his sleep too but luckily I am a strong sleeper-I never notice anything.

Happy snowman

Some days ago I talked about the men at work that have been taking away the snow from the roof. Today they finished the job and it seems that maybe the work has not been all that bad.



Too bad though that the weather is all awful and wet at the moment. I really hope we will have a few minus degrees and more snow until our visitors from Spain and France arrive.

Puppy Dodo

Today we have met a future friend of Faro (hopefully). One of my friends have bought a cavalier king Charles spaniel. So cute!

























They played well together already but Dodo tired quite fast and Faro didn't really understand the concept of her not yet being a fully grown lady but hopefully we can meet soon again so that they get used to each other.

Morning walk

Finally we have some sunshine @ 9:30 in the morning, we're going springtime!

I tried to do something about the awful quality of the pictures when I'm uploading photos from my phone-let's see if it works:








Faro was of the opinion that the plastic bag was evil until we came closer. Everything unordinary is evil at the moment-he is in that age.




After checking it up he thought it was for the best to mark it.

Snow

Finally we have some light in the corridor at work again (5th floor) as there has been some guys working on taking away the snow from the roof this week.

Now they still have half left:






The snow has also compressed as it has been plus degrees for some days so before the snow was all the way to the top.

Poor working guys-it's a sweaty job and now it is probably more icy than snowy. They have been sitting on the roof having their coffe break as well-not such a nice picnic but probably they have a nice view.

Friend in France

My second cousin just informed me she has a blogg about her exchange year in Grenoble. Anyone interested please take a look, it seems like a pretty place:)

We spent a nice week in Jura mountains with her, Oca and some other people summer of 2001 (if I remember correct) performing a shadow theatre.

I wish I has some digiphotos from that trip, I'm gonna dive into the printed album next time we are in Liljendal amd see if I can scan something.

Josh en Valencia

Some years ago I discovered Josh Rouse. I loved the Quiet Town song, it always relaxed me.



Yesterday when listening to my iPod I found the song again and thought I would look him up on spotify.

And what did I find-a song about Valencia! Seems this guy is more international than I realised :) Stefan told me some of the images in the video is not from Valencia but Barcelona and maybe somewhere else-I wouldn't know cause I still haven't been there but hopefully we can go soon!

Celebration dogstyle

Faro also celebrated our engagement eating a dogcake. We found a gas-station on the way home that sold them and i just had to buy it.

Going Turku

We are on out way to Turku - or Åbo - to spend some relaxing days. And the hotel we booked allows dogs for only 10 additional Euros so Faro is also with us:)

Bulgur

Today we tried to make a bulgursallad with chicken. I had never heard of bulgur before and was not even sure we would find it in the store.

Bulgur turned out to be a sort of wheat that tasted and was cooked more or less like rice.








The whole thing was not bad at all.

I also managed to get my first parking fine ever today.

New Year Resolution

I usually hate making resolutions but since it is beginning of the year I thought I would sort my clothes out...The biggest problem of the mess of my closet is mostly the fact that there is too little space or too much clothes. So now I decided that I am not allowed to buy anything new unless I get rid of something old. And I am not allowed to throw stuff if it is in good shape but it is ok to resell or give it away...let's see how it goes :-P

I'm gonna try to stick to the resolution even if we would move to a bigger appartment because it is true that you need much less than what we usually have.

Cia did some nice bloggs about New Years Eve. Check them out. We celebrated our friend's 30th Birthday this New Years's Eve. I am especially proud that we managed to still stick to the Spanish grape tradition at 01:00 in Finland. The grapes were not the best though....dry, big and full of seeds:-P

Happy New Year

We are all pretty tired after New years Eve. We had a good time at out friend's 30 Year party and Faro had a good time at the kennel. Now he is sleeping well.
