Hurray, hurray, hurray!

Hurray to me! It's now official, I will graduate 18th of June:-) I'm sooo relieved and happy. Then I'll be a Bachelor of Business Administration. But what to do after that??? That's the question.....I've been looking around for some "real" work now but it's difficult to find something fun and challenging. And I'm also scared for the "big" world since my Finnish language skills are soo bad...again. I've been studying in English the lasts years and working in Swedish. I admit I've intentionally been avoiding speaking Finnish but now I regret it. All the work I find you need very good spoken and written Finnish for. Maybe it's time to move abroad? ;-)

Anyway, Hurray, also to Catzo who graduated last friday!

On Sunday me and Stefan went around to the World Village Festival, that was cool. I wish there was a festival like this every weekend:-)

Frensh/Spanish and Danish visitors

On the weekend our sofa's were occupied by Cecíl (Spanish/Frensh) and Rebecca(Danish). They were in Finland for a wedding in Hämeenlinna, but it was nice being able to host them.

Rebecca bought some yammi liquorice chocolate candies that Stefan would like to import to Spain:-P

heheeeeee, I promise they are yammi! Another thing foreigners can't get enough of in Finland is the chips bags. Pussi in Finnish means a bag. Mega pussi is a very big bag.

hehe. really.

Planting

Because Catzo was writing in her blogg about gardening yesterday I got inspired and decided it was a good day for putting new soil in the plants for spring. This is something that we should have done weeks ago already but...well....we've been lazy.

This plant was un poco stuck in the pot...maybe it should have been in a bigger pot already last year???:-P

The result: too many plants for our little flat???

chow chow rescue

Because of my last blog entry I have to write about our dog rescue on the weekend. We found a chow chow doggie running around in Liljendal all on its own and in the middle of the street. The Chow Chow dog is funny ´cause it has a blue tongue.

Anyway, the poor doggie looked tired and its eyes was running and in general it didn´t look very well taken care of. Either the owner is not treating it properly or it had been on the run for a while already. Because it wanted to sit down in the middle of the street we had to direct the traffic for a while, it was impossible to make it move. I didn´t bring my phone for the walk so luckily a couple of cars stopped in the end and a brave and strong woman could lift the chow chow into one of the cars and the other girl took it home. I guess after at that they took the dog to the place for dogs you find running loose and there the owner can pick it up for a sum of money becuase by law the owners have to keep their dogs on their own yard. Most importantly the doggie got water, food and care.

...I wanted to take it home:-) but maybe it was a good idea not to...

BTW, Happy Mothers day to all the mums a bit late!

Vappu and fondue night

We survived last week! Hurray! And we even had beautiful weather!

Wednesday: We started by going to Havis Amanda. Here´s people putting on the hat of the statue. After this all other people can follow putting on their white hats that you get when graduating from Secondary School.

After this we had BBQ and SingStar until sometime in the morning when the Sun was rising:-)

Thursday: We were supposed to go where the other swedish speaking finns usually go, to the Kajsaniemi park, for picnic in the morning, but we woke up too late so we decided to have a Picnic in Majstranden instead. After eating loads and hanging around for a few hours we ended up in the sauna.

I think on Friday we were mostly destroyed. Stefan had to work the poor thing but we still had drinks with four friends in the evening because Thomas was here from France to visit his finish girlfriend.

And on saturday we were brave and tried our new fondue-set. It turned out to quite good I think....cheese-fondue with white wine and our favorite friends.

The links are to Camomilla´s and Catariina´s photos because mine were not so good....or I didn´t have any from the moments I wanted...I should probably start learning how to use my camera. Or perhaps I should be more sober when using it;-) The rest of mine and stefan´s Vappu photos are Here.
